They say that getting a part on a hit television show as an actor is the closest thing to a steady gig in the profession. But actors on the hit HBO show, Game of Thrones, will beg to differ.

The fantasy drama is notorious for ruthlessly killing some of its most beloved characters that its viewers have grown emotionally invested with. Characters like Rob Stark and Oberyn Martell were arguably the most shocking omissions, but the hit show has other ways of terminating an actor's time on the series.
