The Capitol Christmas Tree. The People's Tree. A tree for all Americans, for this tree, each holiday season, comes from a different National Forest. It's a symbol and celebration of public lands as much as it's a symbol and celebration of the holidays. I want to tell you about the People's Tree today - it's history, it's journey from the National Forests of America, it's arrival in the Capitol, and, most importantly, it's significance as a testament to the power of public lands in the United States. Happy Holidays!
