In this video, I will create the adapter plate between the Nissan Leaf motor and the Volkswagen Golf MK2 gearbox.
And when this is created, I can finally start to adapt the Volkswagen gearbox to the leaf motor. That’s something that I have been waiting for, for a pretty long time now and I am really looking forward to have that done.
I have decided to use the gearbox from my golf because that this is from the beginning an Volkswagen golf, citystromer that originally was fitted with an electric motor together with a five-speed gear box. Sadly the original motor was gone for many years ago and that’s why I will try to restore the old feeling of the car, but with a new motor and a modern charging system instead, so it will be much more usable with today’s standard.
