Around 250,000 households (1.6 million pastoralists) will benefit from the World Bank-supported De-risking, Inclusion, and Value Enhancement of Pastoral Economies in the Horn of Africa (DRIVE) Project. It is working to enable the Horn of Africa region to adapt to the impacts of climate change, commercialize livestock production in pastoralist communities, and ensure inclusion of the marginalized and vulnerable groups such as women in the sector. The project mobilizes $572 million in private capital to help pastoralists tap into savings and insurance, digital accounts, and private investment. About 2,500 pastoralist groups will be linked to markets to reap more value from livestock rearing. Learn more: http://wrld.bg/7fYf50QApcQ #hornofafrica
