We took to the streets of Belfast city centre on Tuesday to gauge the public’s opinion on Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers comments this week - and it’s fair to say the reaction was mixed.

Carnlough man and experienced football manager Rodgers had been accused of making sexist comments by calling reporter Jane Lewis a ‘good girl’ at the end of a tense interview.

Rodgers, 51, has been labelled a "dinosaur" by the Scottish Feminist Network, who felt the language used by the ex-Liverpool boss was deliberately condescending.

However, NI TV presenter Eamonn Holmes has come out in defence of the Co Antrim man, saying people from Northern Ireland use the expression ‘all the time’.

The Celtic coach told members of the media on Tuesday he found it was "saddening" to be accused of sexism.
