**** Current MOBOTOY Top 10 Favorite ****
This video made the top 10 list because it (so far) the most viewed video on the channel. It also is the first time I went really fast in my car as that was only my second track day at the Ridge (4th day lifetime) so I was pretty slow out there myself. This year I took about 8 seconds off my best laptime from last year so practice/experience pays off.

Formidable in the right hands that is ... Matt from TURN2 LAPPING was nice enough to take me out in the GT500 and demonstrated how capable this car is on track. Its hard to see in the video, but when you hear the tires talking back in the corners it is all four tires telling the story... and the story is usually the car doing a little pirouette spin on its center axis as Matt lines up for the apex, exit and (wherever possible) the FLOOR IT straight line (no matter how short or "scary" it may be, lol). This showed me just how well a pro driver can keep the weight balanced (grip wise) on all four tires throughout the corner in this car to wring more speed out of the exit. It ALWAYS felt solidly planted and under control as Matt picked apart every corner while the OEM world class MagneRide® suspension did its thing 1000 times/second. I'm guessing he was driving at the real 7/10s or 8/10s capability of the car on this track, which puts me down at somewhere under 7/10s ... sigh. I can say that "little straight, but scary one" that Matt called out is my favorite part of the track as once you realize you have huge stopping power at the bottom of the hill you then carry alot more speed over the crest and it becomes the best roller coaster experience offered up by this track. Someday I will get up closer to Matt's skill level myself, but its a process. I think if I watch this video a few times before I go back out again and get me some of that "osmosis" Matt talked about at the end I might just be a better driver myself :). Enjoy and Thanks for Watching.
