Learn 20 verbs you can use to be more concise in English. "Concise" means that what you say or write is short and clear. You remove all of the unnecessary words and details.

I know many students want to speak faster in English. Increasing your speed comes with time and lots of practice. But, it's not always about speed. Using concise language can help you express yourself in a clear way.

After every four verbs, I give you a mini gap-fill to help you review what you learned. Can you please let me know your score in the comments? Did you get 20/20? Or maybe 10/20?

Use the discussion questions at the end of this video. Answer the questions with a friend or speaking partner. The more you practice, the more comfortable you'll feel using these verbs in an English conversation.

Here are the discussion questions:
1) How do you usually defrost frozen food before cooking it?
2) What food do you usually crave when you're hungry?
3) Why do you think people enjoy reminiscing about the past?
