Installing a 2.5 Kilowatt Wind Turbine on the Atlantic Coast of Ireland - there's plenty of wind here!
In winter our solar doesn't give us much power, and that's when we need power for the Groundsource Heat Pump, so the turbine gives us enough power to run the heating over winter.
(We had 2 big storms just after getting it set up - the 75km/h wind was at ground level - probably about 100km/h at the turbine head)
The turbine is a refurbished Proven 2.5 on a 9 metre mast, grid-connected with a feedback 2 way electric meter for when the batteries are full!
(No sound since a lot of the video is timelapse)
