Pacbrake Prxb install.

Installation of a Pacbrake PRXB on a 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 with Cummins 5.9. Pacbrake provides a very complete and nice quality kit for installing onboard air along with the Pacbrake PRXB exhaust brake and its control wiring. Highly recommend this product to control heavy loads.

This truck has a 6 speed NV5600 with a Valair organic compound dual disc clutch because I regularly tow 30,000 - 35,000 lbs GCVW. Also I put in a Pacbrake PRXB to help manage the heavy loads with less wear on the truck and trailer brakes. To help it in the power side I have installed an Edge E-Z tuner that has selectable settings for 20hp, 30hp, and 65hp. The Edge tuner also came with a boost elbow which increased boost from the stock 20 PSI to the 26-28 psi range. To monitor the engine with the tuner I installed a Glowshift 3 in 1 diesel guage for EGT, Fuel PSI, and Turbo Boost. I have towed at 32,000 lbs in 104 degree outside air temperature with the Edge tuner on the 65hp setting and never went above 1250 degrees. It also delivers a noticable improvement in fuel economy. I replaced the broken and cracked OEM dash with a new dash and instrument bezel from LMC truck. The sagging headliner I replaced with Mossy Oak foam backed headliner fabric. These two in cab mods changed the entire look and feel of the interior in a much better way and are worth the money and effort.

The goal in all my mods has been to enhance performance without sacrificing function in any way. All of the mods I have done are well worth the money and I would recommend them to anyone with the same goal in mind. Thanks for viewing. Please rate and subscribe.
