October 21, 2022 - The Honorable Dr. Barbara Lee, Congressional representative for the 13th District of California and Trustee at Berkeley School of Theology, presented a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition to President Rev. Dr. James E. Brenneman at Berkeley School of Theology's 150th Anniversary Celebration Banquet.

Berkeley School of Theology (BST), founded in 1871, has served at the center of Baptist and ecumenical theological education in the far west of the United States for the last 150 years. BST is affiliated with the American Baptist Churches in the United States (ABCUSA) and is a founding school of the Graduate Theological Union (1962). Though steeped in the historic “free church” heritage, BST board, faculty and students hail from a variety of denominational and religious traditions in the U.S. and around the world.
