Lab tour and founder interview with Alex Grant & Jacob Brown of Magrathea. Magrathea is a game-changing startup in Oakland, extracting magnesium from ocean water, using just electricity. This could radically reduce the environmental impact of making structural metal, which accounts for 10% of global emissions. If Magrathea can scale it's technology, it will drastically reduce the cost of magnesium and mean we can make it from renewable electricity in America!
