Elon Musk officially became the world’s richest man in the beginning of 2021 and left Jeff Bezos behind by taking his place. All of the credit for Musk’s huge success as a billionaire goes to his restless hard work and multibillion companies.

Musk’s auto manufacturing company Tesla recently hit 1 trillion dollars benchmark which boosted Elon Musk’s net worth by 140 billion dollars in 2020 alone. Musk owns 23 per cent of Tesla’s shares, which surged eight-fold last year as the company overtook Toyota to become the world’s most valuable carmaker.

Despite becoming world’s wealthiest man, Musk is always forthcoming about how he intends to spend his billion dollar fortune. In a series of tweets from October 12, 2018, Musk discussed about his money beginning with the tweet that he has very little time for recreation as he doesn’t have vacation homes, yachts or anything like that. Later on, Musk shared another tweet in which he said:

“About half my money is intended to help problems on earth and half to help establish a self-sustaining city on mars to ensure continuation of life in case earth gets hit by a meteor like the dinosaurs or WW3 happens, and we destroy ourselves”

Now, we know all about how Elon became so successful, so let’s talk about who are actually jealous of his success.

First up we have Amazon founder and CEO of Blue Origin Jeff Bezos.
This rivalry between Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos dates back to the year 2014 when they both met for a dinner. In that particular meeting, Musk tried to give some tips to Bezos about building rockets and he stated that:
“I actually did my best to give good advice which he largely ignored”

After that, the rivalry between the two grew even more over the years as SpaceX is making more progress with each passing day and blue origin is lagging behind. So, a major setback for Blue Origin recently was that it lost a contract with NASA for its new lunar project and what was even more upsetting for the company was that it was awarded to its rival SpaceX. However, this time Blue Origin did not stay quiet and filed a lawsuit against NASA for awarding this contract to SpaceX. Blue origin has argued that it’s not safe to choose just one company and stated that:

“Competition will prevent any single source from having insurmountable leverage over NASA”

This tweet led to a series of mocking tweets which both companies threw at each other. In response to the lawsuit filed by Bezos Musk sarcastically tweeted:

“Filing legal actions against SpaceX is 'actually' his full time job”
