The Jeep Gladiator is the pick-up version of Jeep’s venerated Wrangler four-wheel drive. It’s in effect a five-door Wrangler with a tray added on. That means it is crazy long, at nearly 5.6m in length, and it’s expensive in rugged Gladiator Rubicon format at $87,250 before on-road costs. Unlike most rivals it does not have a diesel. The only engine is a 3.6L petrol V6 with 209kW of power (280 hp).

The Gladiator competes with utes like the Ford Ranger, Volkswagen Amarok and Toyota Hilux, plus American trucks like the RAM 1500, Chevrolet Silverado and Ford F-150.
