Filmmaker, Uberfan, Toy Collector and Bon Vivant @MartinoSulmoni's BEHIND THE SCENES episode of PLAY TREK documents all the secrets behind the making of this Scale Wars...the War Between The Toys miniseries!

Name: Martino
Age: 41
Origins: 25% German, 25% Austrian, 50% Swiss, 100% goofy
Languages: italian, german, french, protughese, english. little spanish

Occupation:
Production designer, architect, engineer, teach road and railways construction at grad school, teach film aesthetic at architecture faculty and production design history at film faculty.

Life:
Grew up watching 50's and 60's series and movies, discovered architectures through Hitchcock.
After high school worked one year in set construction and was told to study architecture.
Got a Master degree in architecture and a PHD in engineering, but while studying I worked for small film productions in Switzerland and Italy and became personal assistant to the directors of Locarno Film Festival and Venice Film Festival. After school worked full time as set designer and dresser in Italy and Germany and as production designer in Switzerland.
10 years ago I opened my own architecture and engineering business and started teaching part time.
Right now I only collaborate with different producers to get projects going and as visual consultant for small independent project. Sometimes I'm asked to review scripts for the Italian Ministry of Culture and work as liaison for US productions in Italy.

And I think I like Star Trek.

I collected toys from when I was a kid, replacing what I destroyed or lost and completing what I could not afford or find. Collected the 90's Kenner Star Wars because I liked the plastic interpretation of the costumes.

Right now I collect, restore, and drive Italian, British, and US cars from the mid 70's to the early 80's.
