In Late October 2022 drought stricken Rice and Dakota County in Minnesota saw very dry corn crop fields. This field near 307th and Foliage in Dakota county of Northfield caught fire during high winds when a lightning storm went through the area. Northfield Area Firefighters set up a line with their hoses and fought back the fires to save the farmhouse.
