Today I'm showing you how to install double dogs, (also called felling spikes, or bumper spikes) on my Stihl MS 261 chainsaw. This is an easy and inexpensive upgrade you can do to your chainsaw to improve the performance.

Felling spikes come down to personal preference. Personally, I like using double dogs on most of my chainsaws because, when I'm cutting firewood, I can dig them into the bark and hold the saw straighter than I would with only one felling spike. Some people like to install bigger felling dogs on their chainsaw because they look mean. Whatever your reasons are, I hope today's video can help you install your new felling dogs on your chainsaw.

The Stihl part number for the felling dog I installed in this video is: 0000 660 0800. Check with your dealer about ordering some for you.
