We get a love box after we nearly missed being rear ended after visiting the hospital where my mom is. We open a lovely subscriber mail box from Alice, full of hearts, and I give a very serious update on the condition of my mother. There are no current updates on my mother. She is still fighting infections and we're trying to get her home as soon as possible. They are weaning her slowly off the ventilator and she's tolerating it well at the moment. She needs to get through this last thing, and a lot of neglect at the hospital. A shocking amount actually. When you're a nurse and the patient seems as if they have no hope, still treat them like they are a PERSON or someone's MOTHER. You dont know what you dont know, and I want to wake you up to the realities of being in the hospital in full care. God help my mom get off the ventilator so she can come home. Enough is enough. There has to be a reason why God has put our family through this, and I have to believe it is to show the realities of what goes on, because I would not have known the hell without having experienced it. To everyone saying "be kind to nurses and doctors," please listen to every word that has been said and understand that you are not in this situation. If you're a nurse and a doctor and you do everything you can, then I'm not talking to you or about you, so why would you get offended? This story has to be told. The next part of the story is about to unravel itself and its a doozy. Our family will never recover from it. If someone told me this was going to happen, I would never have believed them in a million years. It still feels like a nightmare that I cannot wake up from.
