Dogs come in all shapes and sizes, some massive, others, like my Chihuahua, are absolutely tiny. But
were not here to talk about size, oh no. In this video, we’ll be talking about the strongest breeds of all.
So here they are, and in no particular order, I bring you the 10 most powerful dog breeds in the world.

Number 10. The Pitbull
Pitbulls were bred to be strong. After all, their original purpose was for baiting bulls. Lateer on, they
became awesome family dogs, mainly because they are so good with children. They are both tenacious
and courageous but are more well known for enormous power, as demonstrated in the sport of weight
pulling. They also are regular participants in obedience and agility competitions due to their intelligence
That being said, this powerful canine needs proper training to get socialized. If you don’t have a lot of
time to spend with a pitbull, better get another breed. A well trained pitbull will be a great companion
for a child, however, they can defend people to death if necessary.
Compared to other dog breeds, they aren’t the most intelligent, but are smart enough to learn a variety
of commands quickly. They may be a handful especially when on walks as they do have the tendency to
be aggressive towards other dogs, so better keep them on a strong leash. But, if trained well, this
intimidating breed can be as timid and well behaved as a new born puppy.

Number 9. The Caucasian Ovcharka
These muscular dogs hail from the Caucasus mountain regions. Definitely built by the environment they
grew up in, these large dogs have strong bones and short coats. They were also bred to be strong, strong
enough to keep predators such as jackals and bears at bay. If you need to defend your livestock while
out grazing near and around the Caucasus mountains, this breed is the next best thing to an armed
bodyguard.
These fearless and intelligent dogs are not quick to trust, hence will react immediately to unfamiliar
persons. They also have sharp hearing, and add to that their immense power, they are perfect guard
dogs.

Number 8. The Siberian Husky
The Siberian Husky is a very old breed of dog. It is believed that they originated in Siberia and were used
by people of that time for various tasks, like hunting for big game and pulling sleds heavily laden with
meat from the hunt. They are known for their strength, speed, and endurance, making them valuable
companions to nomadic hunters, but these are the same qualities that make this breed quite dangerous.
Huskies have to be strong. After all, their original purpose is to pull heavy loads on ice and snow. Even
today, they like to show off their massive power by enjoying activities such as racing, weight-pulling,
running and jogging.

Being built for the cold, they have a number of characteristics that help them cope with the coldest of
weather. Their outer fur is actually water proof, keeping the dog’s undercoat and skin dry during
downpours. The coat is also an excellent insulator and they use their shaggy tail to cover their faces
when their noses get too cold.

The Irish wolfhound, as its name implies, was bred to chase down wolves. They were developed from
war hounds into a dog that was used for hunting and guarding, hence the need to be very powerful.
Although they were originally bred to be expert hunters, today’s Irish Wolfhounds make excellent
human companions. They are quiet, reserved, intelligent and easy-going. They were also drafted a war
dogs, and their primary job was to drag people off of horses and chariots.
Irish wolfhounds aren’t big and muscular; they are actually pretty slim compared to other breeds on this
