Volker Döhne, Andreas Gursky, Candida Höfer, Axel Hütte, Tata Ronkholz, Thomas Ruff, Jörg Sasse, Thomas Struth und Petra Wunderlich – with the students of the first Becher Class at the Düsseldorf art academy one of the most radical changes in art's relation is closely associated. Their works can be considered as one of the most self-confident emancipations of photography as art in the mediums history. The exhibition "Photographs Become Pictures. The Becher Class" features now with the help of nearly 200 major large-scale works as well as key early endeavours this impressive artist generation.
