Sigma 56mm F1.4 | 4K Cinematic Video TEST | Sony 6400
So in this video we head out with the Sigma 56mm f1.4 DC DN and see if this lens mounted to the Sony a6400 can be used to create a 4K Cinematic style video.
The punch of the lens, along with its sharpness, build quality, and low F1.4 aperture certainly make for some interesting shoots.
With an equivalent focal length, similar to that of an 85mm lens on a full frame (mostly used in portrait photography) cinematic style videos shouldn't be this lenses strong point.
But shine it does!
Not the easiest of lenses to use, with a feeling of "dam that's tight" every time you turn the camera on, be ready for a lot of Tripod repositioning and what seems like constant moving of your tripod back to frame up your shoots, but that tunnel vision and punch in, make it stand out.
If you want a lens for 4K Cinematic video, then the 30mm Sigma is more the smart choice, but the Sigma 56mm shouldn't be ignored!
