Tongues of lava and molten rock flowed through La Palma on Thursday, a day after authorities on the Spanish island lifted the volcanic eruption lockdown on three coastal towns.
Video posted on social media by national volcanologist group Involcan showed the advancement of the lava in the town of Las Manchas.
Officials said that toxic fumes from the lava flowing into the sea partly dissipated on Wednesday, but on Thursday, the eruption of the Cumbre Vieja volcano showed no signs of abating.
