The southeast US is an important overwintering area for white sharks and there are hints that these animals are reproductively active during this time. However, weather continues to be our biggest challenge when working in this region. We will continue to come back to the southeast to study mature animals in order to learn more about the western North Atlantic white shark's reproductive cycle and better understand how these animals use their overwintering site.
