New 2021 Tesla Model S Refresh - All You Need To Know About!

For the first time since the car's introduction nearly a decade ago, Tesla is planning a significant refresh of the Model S four-door hatchback. Due for delivery later in 2021, the new Model S will feature a minor exterior refresh, a new powertrain, and a dynamic new interior ... maybe.

We say maybe because some elements of the car's interior redesign are so drastic that they may need regulatory approval before they make it to the marketplace.

Unlike most automakers, Tesla does not use traditional model-year designations. The only way Tesla uses models years is to apply them to cars built in a calendar year. In other words, any car built-in 2020 is a 2020 model. If it's built on January 1, 2021, it's a 2021 Tesla.

Instead, they constantly make small and large updates and improvements, some of which can be applied to cars already on the road. Though it largely looks the same, the current 2020 Tesla Model S is a dramatically different car than the one introduced in 2012, with more features, greater range between charges, and improved performance.
