Here are The Used Car Guy’s latest top 12 car ad commercials ever (well, in our humble opinion anyhow). These best car adverts are in no special order but manufacturers including Mercedes, Audi, Volkswagen, Suzuki and Falcon enjoyed a spike in new car sales.

BEWARE, a couple of these adverts are provocative and one is pretty sexualised. Watch out for number 2, 5, 7 and the stupidity of number 10.

Weirdly, we don’t tend to pay much attention to the type of car that’s behind each advert. It’s about entertainment and lives long in the memory, good old fashioned fun.

It is true, a great car commercial will sell more cars. We’ve always loved Volkswagens approach to advertising that often includes denigrating their own car to get the message across.

The point of all these ads is to get them lodged in your mind.
