Spot is a quadruped style robot helping us investigate safer and more efficient solutions for the naval shipyard environment.

Spot has joined the Hunter Class Frigate Program’s research and technology team, based in Tonsley, where our employees are collaborating with researchers and industry to test and trial innovative practices and systems that can be adapted to our shipyard in Osborne.
Spot undertakes remote and routine activities for maintenance - helping our teams to navigate and integrate other IoT (Internet of Things) technologies, such as gas monitors, environmental sensors, laser scanners and AI cameras with the potential to assist humans undertaking high risk activities in confined spaces.
