Although this is not my first 40 series Toyota Land Cruiser, it is my first diesel powered BJ40. I bought it "restored" but did not know that I would spend another year taking it to the final stages of upgrades and fixes. This is not a full time job for me and life has a way of drawing out what can be a short "made for tv" process. This is a real person with a passion for restoring real vehicles. I brought many parts in from the US when I could, including a heavy PRLC shackle reverse system for added comfort.
I learned quite a bit over this past year and in that time period I have acquired a total of four Toyota classic 4x4's. Each one is special to me and in various stages of restoration, this one is currently on its way to Southern California with its buddy, a 1997 Toyota Hilux LN106.
