In the video, Berklee Online instructors Bonnie Hayes and Sarah Brindell sit down to have a conversation about the concept of “groove.” They conclude that although groove is a difficult thing to define, at Berklee, groove is considered time feel, or the way a musician or group of musicians interprets a beat. Bonnie and Sarah talk about the different ways that the beat is played and how it is typical of different styles, and how different subdivisions of the beat create different grooves.
