A lot of freelancers and self-employed people are vaguely aware that quarterly taxes are a thing — without fully understanding how they work. If that sounds like you, just watch this video, and we’ll break it down for you.

Quarterly taxes sound straightforward enough: they break your annual tax payment into four chunks. Instead of paying it all on April 15, you’ll make payments in April, June, September, and January of the next year.
