This is how to not get scammed when buying a new Sony NP-FW50 battery. There are many knock-off brands but there are also FAKE Sony branded NP-FW50 batteries. Here I have a legitimate version bought in 2020 along with my original two from when the camera was new. All three Sony NPFW50 batteries in this video are legitimate as far as I can tell. I am not an expert on batteries, this video is just my best effort to confirm the legitimacy of the battery I purchased. Hope this helps!
