Kosgei demolished the previous Marathon World Record (2:15:25) which was set by Great Britains Paula Radcliffe way back in 2003.

This run followers her sensational victory at this year's London Marathon where she covered the last half marathon in a sizzling 66+ minutes.

With this world record and absolutely dominating victory, Kosgei sets herself up as the favorite to win the Olympic Gold medal in Tokyo.
