Roll up, roll up- the circus is in town, and ‘oh what wonders’ they’ve brought along! Once upon a time, circuses would bring freaks, which was their rather cruel way of describing anybody who was different, to local areas for people to point and laugh at. Thankfully, in this day and age, we are far more civilised and don’t get our entertainment by mocking people who are different to us. Ooooh, satire!
