- Mutual Aid Structure Fire -
04/07/2024 , 14:48hrs

Beauregard Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched as mutual aid to Southwest Lee County Volunteer Fire Department for water supply on a working residential structure fire. SWFD arrived on scene to find a single wide mobile home, heavy fire showing throughout with exposure problems. First arriving units deployed multiple handlines, and began working on fire attack. It was noted shortly after SWFD arrival that there was going to be a water supply issue, and units were establishing a water shuttle operation to the nearest hydrant. The closest hydrant was located approximately two miles from the scene. While preforming a fire attack, as well as a water shuttle operation, units also extinguished a small brush fire that was ignited by the structure fire. Multiple agencies were requested to respond to the scene due to the distance between the scene, and the nearest hydrant. Approximately 25 minutes after the dispatch, a second residential structure fire was paged out for SWFD. The City of Auburn Fire Division was diverted from the first fire to the second fire, and brought a full working fire response to cover the second incident. BVFD crews arrived on scene and began assisting with water shuttle operations. Three personnel from Engine 214 assisted crews with fire attack, and overhaul. Tanker 212, and Engine 214 assisted with the water shuttle operation. BVFD crews remained on scene for two hours before being released by SWFD command, and returning to service.
