Julia wants to start over. She's out of rehab and in a new home, no longer living with her loving but overbearing sister Tat. So long as she logs into her remote recovery meetings, Julia can design a home and life that is finally her own. Ordering home decor from the e-commerce company Smirk, a corkscrew appears in one of her packages. The sight shakes her, but it’s just a misplaced order. She can toss it away. Over time, more false items get slipped into her deliveries. Julia starts to fixate on them. They trigger insipid memories. Customer service reps can't explain what's happening to her. Her sister proves to her it's just a scam. Yet Julia knows a scam can't be the full answer... and the items she's receiving are growing more dangerous. She starts preparing to defend herself at all costs.
