The Dutch GP Elite team with the Porsche 992 GT3 R number 32 won the Hankook 12H of Mugello 2024 with drivers Lucas Groeneveld, Jesse van Kuijk, Daan van Kuijk, & Max van Splunteren at the wheel. After an initial battle with the Herbert Motorsport team, also on a Porsche 992 GT3 R, the orange squad extended the distance, bringing the gap with the rival team to two laps ahead. Despite the uncertain weather and the rain that appeared in the tenth hour of the race, messing up the teams' plans with frenetic tyre changes, the Dutch GP Elite team remained in command until the end. Car number 32 crossed the finish line first, completing 327 laps, preceding the Germans of Herbert Motorsport #91 (325 laps) and the Americans of CP Racing in Mercedes AMG GT3 EVO #85 (323 laps). Team GP Elite becomes the second Dutch team to win a 24H SERIES event; before them, only the V8 Racing team won the 12H of Mugello in 2016. Il team Olandese GP Elite con la Porsche 992 GT3 R numero 32 ha vinto la Hankook 12H del Mugello 2024 con al volante i piloti Lucas Groeneveld, Jesse van Kuijk, Daan van Kuijk, & Max van Splunteren. Dopo una iniziale battaglia con il team Herbert Motorsport, anche loro su Porsche 992 GT3 R il team arancione ha allungato le distanze portando il distacco con la squadra rivale a due giri di vantaggio. Nonostante il meteo incerto con la pioggia che ha fatto la sua comparsa alla decima ora di gara scombinando i piani delle squadre con frenetici cambi gomme, il team olandese GP Elite è riuscito a rimanere al comando fino alla fine. L'auto numero 32 ha tagliato per prima il traguardo compiendo 327 giri, precedento i tedeschi di Herbert Motorsport #91 (325 giri) e gli americani di CP Racing su Mercedes AMG GT3 EVO #85 (323 giri). Il Team GP Elite diventa la seconda squadra olandese a vincere un evento della 24H SERIES, prima di loro solo il team V8 Racing che si aggiudicò la 12H del Mugello nel 2016.
