There are not a lot of choices when it comes to 7-seater electric family cars.
Tesla Model X is on the used market but we haven’t been able to buy one new since 2020 here in the UK!
Then there are some van-derived vehicles such as Mercedes EQV, Volkswagen ID.buzz and Vivaro E-life but they are again much bigger.

What about a smaller crossover SUV option? Something Nissan Qashqai sized? (One of the top-selling cars in the UK!). Not a big car, more of an occasional 7 seater, but something useful for getting your kid's friends home from the birthday party….

Enter the EQB. It’s been a bit under the radar I think.
4-wheel drive ✔️
7 seats ✔️
Practical and not too big ✔️
Fits in a parking space ✔️

So in this video, I review this car in reasonable detail plus test real-world efficiency and range.
The Tesla Model Y Long Range is more dynamic, quicker (but the EQB feels faster than numbers suggest), charges faster and has the benefit of the Tesla supercharger network.
However the EQB 7 seat is available now on both the new and used market and is a very viable alternative. It offers refinement, good ride and sensible range and efficiency.

Thanks for watching!
