Forecasters in the United States say that dry and windy weather will continue to fuel wildfires.

The so-called Bootleg Fire in Oregon, covering nearly four hundred square miles, is the largest blaze in the drought-hit western US and threatens thousands of homes.

Smoke and heat are creating fire clouds reaching up to six miles in the sky which are visible more than 100 miles away.
