Like any dedicated Master Gardener I own more than a few pruner. My first pruner was a Corona “Classic” hand pruner. I now have six hand pruners, three are the “Classic.” The one featured in this video was purchased at a Shoals area flea market for $2. Corona BP 3180D Forged Classic Bypass Pruner with 1 Inch Cutting Capacity with red handles can be found for about $22.

Corona Clipper company was founded in 1932 by J. Copley, H.M. Hendrickson and Glen D. Wight in Riverside County, California. This company had acquired the dies and patents of B.C. Ames. Mr. Ames had created a clipper used by orange pickers that was wildly successful. By 1935, Corona Clipper Company was manufacturing 30,000 clippers per year.

Total time invested in these restoration was about 2 hours. It can be done a lot quicker if not for making a YouTube video.

All video was captured and edited using an iPhone 8 Plus, an iMac with iMovie and Photoshop.
