When I first met and chanted with around 200 of these young novices, it moved me to tears.

For me, the story of these young boys is very touching. In my years of working as a clinician/therapist for foster youths in California, USA, I have never seen such a unique approach to supporting underprivileged children.

These boys come from the poorest marginalized groups in the country--the Hill tribe people of Northern Thailand. Wat Ban Kun helps these young men climb out of abject poverty by instilling a remarkably high level of morality, discipline, respect, education, spiritual development, and so much more.

The training they undergo develops these young novices into well-educated, hard-working, upstanding citizens with more opportunity after graduation then they ever could have otherwise hoped for.

The story of Wat Ban Kun is a truly awe-inspiring tale of overcoming adversity.
