How much does it actually cost for a built engine? Well, in this video we will go through everything involved in installing a built engine in your WRX. I believe the quote that was used for this service was originally drafted for an EJ series engine and slightly modified to include things necessary for the FA engine. Reason being is it seems slightly generic and includes parts that are not normally included in the FA engine.
Keep in mind, that once everything is said and done, you will usually get labor discounts or something to that effect so I ended up paying considerably less than what was quoted. That discount also had nothing to do with me having a youtube channel. I am not a large enough channel for that.
We have installed an IAG stage 2 FA short block with stock heads and everything included listed on IAG's website. All in all the cost came out to anywere from $10k-$12k.
