👶 CellAED®: Built-in Mode for Infants
Your CellAED® comes with a special mode for infants weighing less than 10kg (22 pounds), typically below 1 year of age. If unsure about the infant's weight, continue to treat in adult mode without delay.

⚠️ Responding to Infant Cardiac Arrest: What Not to Do
- Avoid shaking: Gently tickle under their feet or arms instead of shaking to check responsiveness.
- Checking Breathing: Use the head tilt-chin lift method to open the airway. Look, listen, and feel for normal breathing for 10 seconds.
- Immediate Action: If no normal breathing is detected, call emergency services and begin CPR.

🚨 Administering CPR to Infants
- Positioning: Use two fingers in the centre of the chest.
- Compression Depth: Push down to one-third of the chest depth.
- Compression Rate: 100 to 120 compressions per minute (about 2 per second).

🔊 Using CellAED® on an Infant
1. Electrode Placement: Follow voice instructions to place one electrode pad with the blue button and speaker on the infant's chest.
2. Rolling the Infant: Place the second pad in the centre of the back, then return the infant to their back.
3. Infant Mode Activation: Press the blue button labelled 'For infant use only' and confirm the selection.

🔁 CPR and CellAED® Therapy Cycle
- CPR Instructions: Remove the front pad and lay it sticky side up next to the infant before starting CPR. Follow the beep rhythm for chest compressions.
- Voice Prompts: Adhere to the voice instructions for the entire therapy cycle.
- Reapplying the Pad: After CPR, reapply the front pad to the infant’s chest for rhythm analysis.

✅ Continuous Therapy and Emergency Response
- Continue following audio instructions for chest compressions and rescue breaths.
- Persist with CPR and CellAED® instructions until emergency services arrive or until it's no longer safe to continue.
- If CellAED® cannot revive the patient, continue CPR where safe until help arrives.
