The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV shares zero parts with the internal combustion Silverado and the prices will range from $40,000 for the base WT to $107,000 for the fully loaded RST model.

The Silverado EV offers up to 400 miles of range, up to 664 horsepower in the RST trim and they say it can tow up to 10,000 pounds.

Initially, only two trim levels will be available and these two will be at the very end points of the model range. The cheapest Silverado EV will be the work truck with a starting price of $39,900. This comes with 18-inch wheels, 510 horsepower and 615 pound-feet of torque and with the same 400 mile range as the top trim level - the RST.

A fully loaded RST will set you back $105,000, pretty steep for a Silverado. However you do get a lot of cool technology, design and performance for your money.

The RST sits on 24-inch wheels and has a drive mode called “Wide Open Watts” (or WOW-mode for short) that gives you instant access to 664 horsepower and 780 pound-feet of torque.

While enabled, the Silverado can go from zero-to-60-mph in less than 4.5 seconds.

Now as I mentioned before, these are the base and top trim of the new Silverado EV. There will be more trim levels that will fall in between.

Underneath that beautiful body we have independent front and rear suspension, front and rear electric motors and an electrical architecture capable of charging at 800 volts and 350 kW. This will give you 100 miles of range in just about 10 minutes time.

The bed is 5.9 feet long but there’s a bed-extending setting that grows the length to over 10 feet. And if you still need more space there’s now a frunk in this Silverado! It’s not small either and can handle about three large suitcases.

On the inside is where Chevy really stepped it up with design and a feeling of quality compared to the previous generation Silverado for example. It’s like night and day. There’s a massive 17.0-inch center screen and 11.0-inch digital gauge cluster in the RST while the WT comes with an 11.0-inch center display and an eight-inch screen in the gauge cluster.
