As a fan of fantasy films, I'm always looking for great examples of the genre that I haven't yet seen. This search led me to Russia, and specifically the fantasy films of the Soviet era. Most of these films didn't see any release in America, but they really should have, because they are great! Here are five of my favorite Soviet fantasy films that you should check out.
