Just last year, I got to review the 2023 Maverick Tremor with off road goodies, a unique AWD system, though with some limitations. Now I got my hands on a 2024 Maverick XLT with the FX4 off road pack and wow is it a different experience. Without the tremor’s raised suspension, the XLT drives more car-like and gets a tad bit better fuel economy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

🏁@Alllcarnews Spec Sheet: Under the hood of the XLT with FX4 ONLY is the 2.0L EcoBoost Turbo 4 making 250HP and 277 lb-ft of torque paired to an 8 speed auto with AWD and around 21 MPG Combines, 20 City and 24 Highway. Ditch the FX4 and you can get the insanely efficient Hybrid Maverick 🏁

Highs:
-The XLT is even more capable than the Tremor in daily driving especially if you need to tow 4,000lbs (which the Tremor cannot)
-The ride on road is very car like, though the lower suspension than the Tremor can feel unsettled over some bumps.
-The $32k price is a steal. (if you can get it without a markup)

Lows:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
-The engine sound is very unpleasant though it’s performance is beyond impressive; very peppy, heck even a WRX pickup I might say.
-While I don’t mind the budget interior for what the Maverick is trying to be, I found the rear view mirror to be poor and I had a few Apple Car Play connectivity issues even though it is a wired system.

Solid 7/10
