After finishing her very first marathon in second place to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Molly Seidel proclaimed, "I don't know what's happening right now." Seidel finished behind Aliphine Tuliamuk who was born in Kenya along with 31 siblings. Sally Kipyego, also a Kenyan native, finished in third place to round out the American marathon delegation.
