This is Video 3 in a 3-part series documenting the costs and time to charge a Bolt EUV. This video covers the charging costs from Enterprise, AL back to my home in Central Florida.

The trip was right at 400 miles...and Part 3 was the rainiest part of the trip. The effects of cold and rain caused lower-than-expected miles per kilowatt hour. But we adapted and overcame by taking longer charges.

All in all, the total costs were about $20 cheaper than the costs of a gasoline car over 1200 miles. But the real savings in owning an EV come when charging at home. To get equivalent savings on a gasoline car, the price of gasoline would need to drop to $0.55 per gallon.

All total, we spent about 10.8 cents per mile for this entire trip. Not too bad!
