In this UCSF Medicine Covid-19 grand rounds, we’ll explore the extraordinarily promising news regarding the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, and what the future may hold in terms of FDA approval, distribution, and impact on the shape of the pandemic in 2021. In addition, we’ll also take a close look at a few of the therapeutics in the news, including monoclonal antibodies (one of which was just approved by the FDA for emergency use) and remdesivir (whose use has now become controversial based on recent trials). The session is moderated by UCSF Department of Medicine chair Bob Wachter.
