Seed of the Week 16: Nasturtium // Make The Most Of Empty Space Now! #gardening #seedsowing
This week is the perfect time to start sowing nasturtium seeds, especially for growing nasturtiums in raised beds or growing nasturtiums in a flower bed! Nasturtiums are the perfect seed to sow this month in a greenhouse, polytunnel, kitchen windowsil or conservatory. You can sow nasturtiums now to fill in the gaps between young plants like tomatoes, they'll still be growing while your tomato plants grow. Sow nasturtium seeds in coir compost to transfer out later, or you can also direct sow nasturtium seeds.
Nasturtiums are a tasty edible flower which you can use to make nasturtium salads, or even make nasturtium vinegar for a peppery nasturtium salad dressing.
