Through a series of unfortunate events (Thanks Trabuco Ranger District!) we found ourselves on this strange and amazing road. Yes, this is a road; paved (with some significant pot holes) for its entire length, from Ortega Highway (Route 74), in the north, to Tenaja Road, in the south. But the scenery along this single lane of tarmac is so beautiful, and it feels so remote, that we couldn't help falling in love with it. (Honestly, if this was a dirt trail, it would jump up near the top of our favorites list!) So, for the first time ever we're taking you along on a drive that can be done in almost any vehicle, as long as you have a sense of adventure!
