Find out how to make an easy lava lamp at home using a few simple ingredients that you probably already have in your family cupboard. It's perfect for kids to experiment with!

It's an ideal small and safe science experiment to try with some old bottles or jam jars. Follow Big Manny's instructions as he explains the science behind the reaction including oil density and how the CO2 gasses are released!

You will need:
*An old bottle, make sure to clean it out!
* Sunflower oil
* Water
* Liquid food colouring
* Effervescent Vitamin C tablets (Make sure you check with an adult and have their permission to use Vitamin C tablets. You could use Bicarbonate of Soda as an alternative, although we found that the reaction was slightly less fizzy!)
