This trip was a birthday treat for me and we visited Riva del Garda, which is at the Northern end of Lake Garda on the Southern edge of the Italian Alps.

The hotel had a wellness centre / spa and we were looking forward to spending some time in there relaxing. On our second day we hiked along a disused road (The Ponale Trail) carved from the side of a mountain on the Western shore of Lake Garda. The views of Lake Garda were gorgeous.
